PRE-WORK: EVOLUTION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

This module provides a historical overview of Artificial Intelligence, tracing its development from foundational concepts to current breakthroughs. Learners will explore the AI hype cycle, understand the convergence of related technologies such as Machine Learning and Data Science, and examine the real-world risks associated with AI adoption. Key concepts such as the โ€˜technology valley of deathโ€™ will also be introduced to help learners contextualize AI's practical limitations and challenges.

MODULE 1: THE AI LANDSCAPE

This module helps learners navigate the complex and evolving AI ecosystem by introducing key terms, concepts, and business applications of AI. It sets the foundation for understanding how AI drives value and how to approach AI implementation strategically.

WEEK 1: THE AI LANDSCAPE

The R.O.A.D. framework will be introduced to help structure and manage AI projects from planning to execution.

This module equips learners with a strong foundation in Machine Learning and its applications in business. It covers algorithm selection, performance evaluation, and the importance of clean, well-labeled data. Through practical examples, learners will understand how to design effective AI/ML systems for various organizational challenges.

WEEK 2: MACHINE LEARNING FUNDAMENTALS

This week, learners will be introduced to core Machine Learning types and applications across domains. They will explore the AI lifecycle and learn model evaluation techniques using precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy.
